Albannach: Eye of Storm

     I got introduced to this group at the WV Scottish Festival and Celtic Gathering in May of 2006.  To say these fine musicians are great would be the understatement of the century.  I found their Music about my Ancestor’s homeland to be inspiring and awakening to say the least.  At that time they were selling their self title album  Albannach: Albannach of which I purchased listened to it burned it unto 2 computers and it is constantly playing during my workouts.  The drumming alone is enough to get your heartbeat racing.

     Now it seems they released the above Albannach: Eye Of The Storm.  I made my order with their website which was nearly painless (Paypal you know).  Well Finally I got it, as soon as I had the package in my hand I could tell  it was money well spent.  When I pressed play on my computer it was like magic had been reintroduced into the world.  The song Uprising voiced by Jamesie detailed the last minutes of William Wallace during his execution.  From there it only gets better and better, then the song Scotland is her Name sung by Jacquie starts playing and I could feel tears welling up.  Jacquie’s  great looks are only surpassed by her haunting voice and excellent singing talent.  All in all this album not only Rocked,  it kicked serious ass took their names and went back and kick ass again.
